Rail (The)

The shape of the rail more or less gives aggressiveness to the board.
A gripped rail penetrates well in water and allows good hangs.
The turns are tighter even at low speed.
A rounder rail ensures of the longer and more stable curves at high speed.
Often, the surfer charges the back of his board at the time to engage a turn what has as a side effect to slow down the longboard.
