The Position of the plug on the board
There are several arguments which will guide your choice of positioning:
- - More the plug is behind and the less the board "draws" on the leash (and on your foot; -)
- - More the plug is behind and the less your foot is inconvenient by the "guard rail" of the leash.
- - More you approach the back of the board and the less thick it is (problem of robustness and thickness of the plug).
Régular or goofy?
The plug on the right or on the left?
Under the heel or the toes?
If you research a maximum of solidity, it must be to pose the plug in full medium of the slat. In this place, the anchoring of the plug is often optimum because it is based on a thickness often larger.
- 1) Installation of the plug before the stratification
- 2) Poses plug after the stratification
- 3) the "curtain rod": in a solid tail (sawn timber), one inserts a stainless steel stem (section of a stem of screw inox). This stem is enough broad to accomodate a strap of leash, there is enough space between it and the bridge to pass the strap, it is very moved back.
Advantage: very solid very moved back, it reduces traction on the leash none on-épaisseur
Inconvenience : weight of the stem and the tail-block long work of joinery for the tail-block steel must be completely stainless (not in cochonium) to obtain a discrete aspect requires a careful work
- 4)Le trigger guard out of fibre: This is the old method which arises from the wall cupboards. A judicious choice for the boards rétros.
Advantage: discrete and very proper very solid inimitable look zero cost + epsilon
Inconvenience : small light work of stratification going beyond of the bridge
- 5) Vicious method : pin of 75 with reinforced nut and against tightening of security (standards work public)?
