Constructed with the highest quality balsa from Ecuador and U.S. resins and cloth, these longboards can carve up the surf and be displayed in your living room as masterpieces of craftmanship. The triple stinger California Longboard model is 10 feet long by 22 inches wide by 3-1/2 inches thick. A concave in the nose flows to a gentle V in the tail for a board that will noseride and draw smooth flowing lines. Balsa produces a unique ride. Being slightly heavier than foam the boards have increased stability and carry momentum on the wave for that solid feel. The balsa comes from managed plantations in Ecuador, not forests, so the materials are eco-friendly. Ecuador is reknowned for its high quality woods which are further enhanced through a careful selection process for consistency in weight and moisture, then oven dried. Standard construction includes Spanish Cedar stringers which accept resin more consistently than redwood, hardwood nose and tail blocks for that nice finishing touch, and finbox. Hardwood decorative inlays and balsa fins available as options. Custom shapes and dimensions also available.
